It's Lou in for you today and I have been having some fun making little bits to put on our table for Christmas day. The Gummiapan Milk Carton die was just perfect for this!! they would be so wonderful to make a little advent calendar with too!!

There is a super amount of size to tuck in some little treats like sweets or even a Lego man if you have a Lego obsessed child like me!! he he!!!

Hello everyone, 

It's Lou in with a post for you today. I was in a fairly CAS cardmaking kind of mood for this one so just a few simple layers and one of the gorgeous images from the Pion Designs- From Grandma's Attic- Mothers day sheet was all I needed on my little craft desk to get me going. I also dusted off one of my older Pion 12x12 papers, (Fairytales of spring and My Dearest Sofia - lovely things), because they looked so lovely with the little image.

I trimmed all my mat pieces and then distressed the edges of each piece with the edge of my scissors blade. This photo is from an older make I have posted but just in case anyone is new to our blog I thought I'd show how I do that.

I couldn't resist die cutting a few things too though! I cut myself 4 of the smallest dragonflies dies in the Magnolia stamps- Bon Voyage- Dragonflies Doo Hickey dies set, 2 in kraft card and 2 in the patterned paper scraps left from my card base. I carefully dry embossed them with my ball tool on a foam mat to give them some 'pop' before gluing the 2 layers together. I love how they come out when you do that.

  

I also cut some of the smallest Bon Voyage flowers Doo Hickey die out in kraft and the scraps too. I cut four in kraft and eight in the scraps. Then I screwed up the flowers and carefully unscrewed them to get some dimension into them before I popped them all together with a mini brad and inked the edges. I really love the effect doing that gives to them.

Before I adhered my image piece onto the card I thought that the Gummiapan Hens Net die would tie in so sweetly with the little hen's the boy is feeding in the image so I used some kraft card to die cut it, then cut in half and glued it to the back of my image piece.

Then very carefully, I hot glued my little dragonflies onto the flowers. They look so pretty like that and it really makes a beautiful focal point on a simple card making. Here is the bottom corner from a slightly different angle.

I also took some time to make her some little patchwork quilt pieces using the Gummiapan Hens Net die. I carefully lifted it out of my die cutting machine so the pieces stayed within the die so I could get my trusty thin black pen to draw the 'stitches' on. I love how it came out!!

And how sweet does the little Gummiapan Button Heart die look with a little thread through it as an accent on the tab part? 

Now, did you all get the Magnolia DooHickeyclub Volume 20 Magazine? ooooh, I so hope you did because it has the most beautiful little pair of scissors and a needle and thread die! they were just perfect for this make! I couldn't believe my luck when I saw them in the set!!!

I used a teeny little brad to put the scissors together and they look so sweet!!

Here is the needle in action too! I had super fun threading it!!

A repeat job of making the matting on some white card worked so nicely for the back of the card and I utilised a few more of those gorgeous little quilt pieces to dress up the corners.

Hello everyone, It's Lou in with a post for you today.

I think I must be a 'feeder' because my last 2 posts for you have had yummy snacks in them but my Little Guy made the most scrummy chocolate rye cookies at the weekend and I couldn't resist showcasing them a little using the fabulous Gummiapan Apple Box die.

All I needed was some orange cardstock ( yup, I'm still in the autumn colours mood!!) to cut out the little box. Then I distress inked all the edges using Walnut stain distress ink.

Once I had inked all the edges and assembled the box, I tied a little bit of twine around it, using the 'handles' to pop it over to keep it in place and tied a lovely bow. I left the ends of the twine nice and long to get that pretty effect on the bow.

Then I tucked some cotton gauze into the box and wrapped a few of my Little Guys cookies in some cellophane and tucked them into the box.

Then it was time to play with the super sweet little Magnolia stamps mini world Medal stamp. It is just so cute! I love it!! I stamped it out and then I used a little freebie heart stamp from Gummiapan and stamped it in the centre of the medal. I coloured it in a lovely orange colour and then I added some glossy accents to it to make it pop!

I took some time fussy cutting it out and then inked its edges to soften the cut lines. I added a little hot glue to the back of it and stuck it over the centre of the bow.

This  Apple Box die really does make the sweetest little gift for someone and it's so easy to pop together.

Morning everyone, and welcome back to posts from the DT. I hope that you have all had a lovely summer, we are currently enjoying a bit of an Indian Summer here in the UK, but the nights are definitely pulling in now.

I was recently asked by a friend if I could make a card for her to give her friend, and the story was she was sixty almost a year ago and she was upset that she never had a party for her, so could I make the card for her surprise party and say that she is still sixty. This is what I made, and my friend said that it was perfect!


The cake is a special release Magnolia Doohickey and is available HERE, I have molded the icing a bit and built up the hot glue gun to give it a bit of depth. And then I went daft and added oodles of glitter, lol.


I have built the cake up on top of a pierced scalloped nesting die, available HERE, and for all of the paper on the card I have used different sheets from the 6x6 Maja Design paper pad 'Summertime' available HERE.


All of the other bits are from my stash.

Suha still has a few more weeks away, but she will begin shipping your goodies when she returns on 17th September. Meanwhile the sale is still on.

Morning everyone, Becky here with today with my latest creation. I have been wanting to update the clock in my craft room for a while, and as soon as I saw these stamps I knew I had to use these. I actually butchered my old clock for the mechanism, lol.

I've masked the two images together, first off I stamped TILDA IN WONDERLAND using a TIM HOLTZ STAMPING PLATFORM and making sure that the paper is flush to the edge, with the magnets in place as you don't want the paper to move. I then stamped the same Tilda to a post it note, making sure that I stamped where it is sticky. The next step was to cut around Tilda pretty much on the outline, and then stick this over the stamped Tilda. This is where the platform comes into its all; lay the image that you want to appear to be behind on top of Tilda in the place that you want, in this case it is the TILDA IN WONDERLAND CLOCK, close the lid to pick up the stamp, ink it up and then stamp. The beauty of this is if you need to add more ink then you can as your paper is firmly in place, and the stamp will stamp in the exact same place again.


I have coloured Tilda in with distress reinkers, to match the papers from Maja Design, I have used several sheets from the DENIM & FRIENDS 6x6 PAPER PAD, I mean she had to be in blue, right?


I have also used distress reinkers on the CLOCK but mailny for shadow and to make it look old.


I have cut a BACKGROUND HEARTS DOOHICKEY in two, and had it overhang the image here...

Because of the hands of the clock going round I was a bit restricted as to what I could put on the rest of the canvas, I can't put nothing on, CAS isn't my style, lol, so I used the dies that come with the CLOCK and popped a pearl on too. I have also kept the hearts from the DOOHICKEY and dotted them around the canvas too.
