Mermaid card | By Tamara

Hi!
Tamara with you today! ;)
Some time ago I promised you to show you how I stamp my images using Tim Holtz Stamping Platform. I've been using another stamping platform but I wanted to try this one and I loveeeeee it. It's super easy to use, it has great design, the size is perfect ...

Stamping Platform (SP) has two sides. One says Rubber and the other one Clear. You simply switch the cover if your using clear stamps. My plan was to stamp a Magnolia stamp which is rubber so I adjusted my SP to rubber.

I placed a piece of watercolour paper in the top corner and added magnets. (you get two with the SP. I cover them with washi tape so I can pick them up easily. They are very strong and having washi around them makes my life easier).

I usually add a piece of ordinary paper on top of the watercolour one first, so that I can see if the stamp is positioned ok or I have to change it before stamping onto the watercolor paper.

I put the stamp on the paper and simply pick it up with the top part of my SP.

When my image is stamped I can adjust it (if it's not ok) or simply remove the pink paper and stamp onto the watercolour paper.

And here it is. Very simple with a great result. IF the stamped image wasn't crisp enough I could just add ink again and stamp on top of the image. This is the best thing about these stamping platforms. You can keep inking the stamp and stamping on top of the image. It will always cover the same lines and you won't have to waste any more expensive colouring paper.

Soooo ... since I had that cute mermaid coloured why not make a card with her. hehehee .... This image is brand new from Magnolia's last release and is called A Fish Kisses to Tilda. The image was coloured using Distress ink pads.

I'm sure you noticed the PRETTY papers I used?! Right?! These are also brand new, they are from Maja Design and the collection is called Celebration. You can also get Monochromes!!

Dies used are from past Magnolia's die boxes. You can still pre-order vol.18 and vol.19 HERE!

That's all from me today! Enjoy!!
